Server Rules

By playing on PoppyMC you automatically agree to follow all rules below. Not knowing the rules is no excuse, so it's your responsibility to stay updated. These rules keep the server fun, safe and lag-free for everyone.

# General Conduct & Accounts
> Rules in sections 1 and 2 apply to all communication on the server, including public chat, private messages (/msg) and party/team chat, unless a rule explicitly says otherwise.
Respect & Threats | Treat all players with respect. Discrimination, bullying, racism, hate speech, toxic behaviour, harassment or excessive foul language is strictly forbidden. Any threats made toward players or staff members will result in immediate action.
Privacy (Doxxing) | Sharing, leaking or threatening to share personal information of other players (real names, addresses, socials, photos) is strictly prohibited.
Impersonation | Do not pretend to be staff, YouTubers or other known players.
Inappropriate Content | Offensive or inappropriate content is not allowed anywhere on the server. This includes skins, usernames, home and warp names, builds (such as offensive symbols, genitalia, deathtraps or lavacasts), and signs or books with inappropriate, hateful or disturbing content, or content aimed at other players.
No Romance with Minors | Adults may not engage in romantic interactions with minors (under 18), in any form. No exceptions.
# Chat & Communication
Language | English is the only allowed language in public chat. This keeps chat readable and moderatable for everyone.
Chat Abuse | Do not spam, flood, repeat messages or use excessive CAPS. Do not bypass the chat filter or creatively spell forbidden words. Do not beg for items, ranks, money or store items.
Advertising | No promotion of other servers, Discords, socials or services. Links to PoppyMC are the only exception.
Keep Chat Clean | Keep politics and religion out of the public chat. Don't spread rumours or accusations about players or staff. Concerns go to a support ticket.
# Cheats & Fair Play
Clients & Mods | Only Feather, Badlion, Lunar, MiniMap (no cave maps), Shaders, Optifine, ReplayMod (no spectator freecam), Litematica (no Airplace/Easyplace) and Inventory Organizers are permitted. Not sure if a mod is allowed? Ask staff first. Using cheats (X-Ray, Fly, KillAura, AutoClickers, etc.) will result in a permanent ban.
Bugs & Duping | Exploiting glitches is forbidden. Report bugs immediately via a support ticket. Duplicating items leads to an immediate ban and a total account reset.
Alt Accounts | Using alternative accounts to boost progress is prohibited.
Map Copying | Copying or downloading any part of the server map is forbidden.
# PvP & Trading
Fair PvP | PvP should be fair for everyone involved. Spawnkilling, kill-boosting and farming kills are prohibited. Do not kill players immediately after they teleport or lure them into a trap (TP-trapping), and do not use the live map to continuously track and hunt down players.
Trading | Do not scam players. Selling fake or duplicated items as real "special" items is prohibited. Gambling with items or tokens is not allowed. Lending items is at your own risk: staff will not restore lost or stolen loaned items.
# Property & Building
Griefing & Theft | Stealing, griefing or using another person's property (including farms and animals) is forbidden.
Claims | Maintain a distance of at least 100 blocks from other players' claims unless you have explicit permission. Do not claim land specifically to block another player from expanding. Claims expire automatically after 90 days of inactivity.
# Technical Limits & AFK
Performance & Limits | Lag machines, flood machines and farms that lower server performance are strictly prohibited. Staff may remove them without warning. The following limits apply:
- Redstone: max 5000 per player. Circuits must be switchable (no 24/7 clocks).
- Max 250 hoppers, 500 cactus and 250 pistons/observers per area.
- Max 15 spawners per farm area.
- Not allowed: 0-tick farms, piston flying machines, lava monster farms and chunk loaders.
AFK Rules | Maximum 20 minutes AFK. Using "Anti-AFK" scripts or machines to bypass the kick, or AFK boosting, is forbidden.
# Punishments & Staff
No Punishment Evasion | Using alt accounts, signs, books or other players to get around a mute or ban counts as evasion.
Serious Offences | Threats, doxxing, harassment campaigns, endangering minors, abuse of staff powers, and deliberate griefing or lag/flood machines result in a ban on all our servers. In serious cases we may also inform partner servers, which can lead to a ban there as well.
Staff & Disputes | Follow instructions from staff members. Staff decisions are final. Don't argue with staff or discuss active cases or punishments in chat, on signs, in books or in builds. Disagree with a punishment? Open an appeal ticket or email contact@poppymc.com.
